Building Mobile Environmental Apps Using Web and Cloud Technologies

Small applications for mobile devices can be implemented relatively quickly, especially if they can draw on an existing service infrastructure. However, a number of small applications combined with a variety of supported mobile platforms lead to significant development and maintenance costs. The approach presented here combines the concept of a description of applications with the benefits of Web-technology-based cross-platform development.
