Zusammenfassung
A suitable selection of new industrial emplacements must consider a wide range of factors in order to reach a balanced development. The analysis of diverse factors increases the complexity of decision making in the activities of planning and management of natural resources. An example of this is a location theoretical model previously developed and implemented in a Geographic Information System (GIS) through the development of a Spatial Decision Support System (SDSS). The high number of variables defined and the difficulty to collect the necessary data make difficult the application of this SDSS to the real world. For this reason, the theoretical model has been re-designed by means of the participation of diverse stakeholders involved in the processes of decision making that is crucial to transfer the theoretical model of industrial location. This collaboration has allowed to obtain a re-defined model which is easier to apply the real world than theoretical one. Finally, this work shows some of the results obtained when the re-designed model has been applied to the real world.
