Zusammenfassung
One of the key issues of sustainable settlement development is to stop the ongoing consumption of open space for settlement and traffic purposes. The “Information System Sustainable Settlement Development” (IS3D), a decision support system, combines objectives and indicators, that operationalise a sustainable settlement development, with modern GIS-based analysis functions in order to provide spatially small-scaled information on the land-use change. Two applications have been developed to support typical tasks in different phases of the spatial planning process in urban areas.
