Zusammenfassung

Assessments are immanent components of spatial planning and one of the central tasks in environmental management particularly with regard to flood risk management. Mitigation of flood risks can be achieved through various structural and non-structural measures. Comparison of different measures and evaluation of their impacts is based on the multiple criteria evaluation. In this paper we report about the further development of a methodology for the ecological evaluation of land-use options and the application to the Dresden Elbe-Region in the context of flood risk management. We describe enhancements of indicators, apply the method “Compromise Programming” and conduct multiple criteria evaluation of the sites in the study area for residential settlement. Thereby a few of methodological and information technical problems are discussed. As the investigation area the circular area with the centre in the city centre of Dresden and a radius of 20 km was selected. In this study we describe the data transformations of different datasets such as the German “Amtliches Topographisch-Kartographisches Informationssystem” (ATKIS) or a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the Dresden Elbe-Region. Furthermore results of “Compromise Programming” are explained and discussed.
