Zusammenfassung

Currently, environmental regulations incite industrials to integrate processes to reduce at the source solid and liquid waste. The objectives of this study are to limit water used and pollution product without making major modifications to production equipment. In this context, we propose to develop a cleaner production method for metal finishing industries. This method is based on the drag-out, which is one of the main pollution vectors in surface treatment workshops. First of all, experimental studies have been realized to show the influence of several parameters on the drag-out. The results show that it is possible to reduce the drag-out significantly (up to 80 % in certain cases). In a second time, in order to estimate the drag-out volume, a 4 tier classification system has been experimentally determined based on the geometry of treated pieces. The purpose is to optimize water and chemicals consumption of a surface treatment chain. Finally, we propose a cleaner production method based on the organization of every parameter studied to quantify and reduce the drag-out. This method developed as a decision support system is an aid in optimizing the production system and therefore reducing the pollution in general. An additional benefit is to increase profits by reducing the quantity of effluent to treat and use of raw material.
