Zusammenfassung
A flexible user interface which Covers equally System- and application Software is described. The interface allows for compact input of strings with the possibility of
short hand notation and a dialog mode based on menus and help facilities. Flexible transitions between these two modes are provided. The design of the underlying command language contributes to making the overall concept flexible but coherent. In addition, the concept includes the tailoring of language and of command capabilities for individual users.
