Methods for enterprise modelling usually offer limited support for the description of logistical aspects. The paper at hand presents a concept for modelling supply chains in the context of enterprise modelling. This concept, called transportation channel, is part of a resource modelling language which complements a business process modelling language. Both languages are part of a method for multi-perspective enterprise modelling. The term transportation channel also covers the transport of information between information systems or humans. The latter one is sometimes referred to as communication channel.en
