The Web Services architecture defines various specifications that applications may wish to use in combination. In this paper, we investigate the composition of the Web services specifications for business process execution (BPEL) and transactional coordination (WS-Coordination). We report on our experience in implementing a policy-driven model to declaratively program transactional processes and discuss challenges in middleware integration to support this model.en
