- KonferenzbeitragEffizienzsteigerung bei Hybridantrieben durch Steuerungs- und Informationssysteme(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Renken, FolkerVehicles with hybrid drive systems are characterized by their driving dynamics, their energy efficiency and their environment-friendliness especially. Dependent on the electrical power and the drive train structure these hybrid drives are grouped into different classes. Designations such as micro-hybrid, mild-hybrid, full-hybrid, serial- hybrid, serial/parallel-hybrid or power-split-hybrid reflect the large variance of these different drive train possibilities. In hybrid drive systems electronically controlled converters take an important role. With such a converter also the energy exchange between electrical power system and electrical machine is regulated. The reduction of the vehicle fuel consumption here is of special interest. Today's hybrid vehicles use for the control mainly information from the present driving conditions, taking into account the actual electrical power system-charge as well as the power demand of the driver. With such a control already considerable fuel reductions are reached. But additionally superimposed control and information systems promise substantial potential for more fuel reduction. With these systems an outstanding energy-saving and anticipatory way of driving could be realized. The aim is to find the best operating point in each case for the combustion engine and to adapt the charge state of the electrical power system to the respective driving situation.
- KonferenzbeitragEntwicklung einer Bewertungsdatenbank zur Umsetzung der Wasserrahmenrichtlinie in Schleswig-Holstein(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Hosenfeld, Friedhelm; Lietz, Johanna; Trepel, MichaelAn assessment database was developed in order to support implementation of Water Framework Directive (WFD) in Schleswig-Holstein. So-called quality elements (QE) were proposed by WFD to estimate the water body status. Suitable assessment software computes water body status using measurement data concerning quality elements. The main task of the presented assessment database consists in integrating all results of the different assessment tools within one central database so that assessment data are broadly available to be used in further evaluations. The assessment database application was implemented as an intranet web application, thus taking no special requirements on the client side. Assessment results are managed in a uniform way and combined on the level of each water body to present a status value for the water body, which is reported to the European Union (EU) according to WFD demands.
Different kinds of stakeholder submit their interests, so called stakes, to the organization. These ecological stakes have to be taken into account in everyday business. The huge amount of stakes leads to a significant complexity. Based on the Topic Maps standard, which is originated in the fields of knowledge management and semantic web, this article presents a model for mapping such networks of stakes. This network supports the management of stakes and describes a basis for a standardized IT assisted evaluation.
- KonferenzbeitragMobile erweiterte Realität im Hochwasserschutz(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Fuchs-Kittowski, Frank; Wilske, Fabian; Trosien, FrankThis paper presents possibilities to use Augmented Reality (AR) in the area of flood prevention and protection. Based on application areas in flood prevention and protection an AR information infrastructure and a mobile AR application are described.
- KonferenzbeitragSemantische Suche in Umwelt- und Geodaten - Erfahrungen aus dem THESEUS-Forschungsprojekt Hippolytos(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Abecker, Andreas; Kazakos, WassiliosIn this article we present the software prototypes HIPPOLYTOS and KOIOS that are both following different approaches to support better search for structured data in environmental information systems which are implemented on top of disy‘s Cadenza middleware for spatial data warehousing and spatial reporting. While HIPPOLYTOS exploits explicit metadata, semantic annotations and ontological background knowledge for making structured data easier findable, KOIOS realizes a schema-agnostic search approach together with a faceted-search GUI. In this article, the main emphasis is laid on HIPPOLYTOS.
- KonferenzbeitragDer Solarservice Bremen – ein Web-GIS-basierter Informationsservice für Solarenergie in der Stadt Bremen(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Steinhausen, KonstanzeGermany uses the biggest share of solar energy worldwide and could record the strongest increase in photovoltaic plants in the last few years [EPIA, 2010]. But the benefits, that are possible to gain with solar energy in this country, are still not reached by far yet. Over the half of the power requirement of the Federal Republic could be gained on the basis of a consistent use of existing roof areas [BSW, 2011]. Although on average there is less intensity of solar radiation in the north than in southern regions, the annual incident solar radiation in Bremen can go up to 950 kWh/m2. This increases the importance to use solar energy even in private households. A GIS-based information service for solar power for the city of Bremen is therefore developed by the University of Applied Sciences Bremen in cooperation with the BUND LV Bremen and the GeoInformation Bremen. The Solarservice Bremen is planned in addition to a number of information services of Bremen, which inform about solar energy, and shall increase or at least arouse the interest in solar energy for the promotion of the use of renewable energies.
- KonferenzbeitragUmweltdaten und INSPIRE am Beispiel Wasserrahmenrichtlinie/Hochwasserrisikomanagement in Sachsen und INSPIRE - Annex I - Hydrography (HY)(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Rudolf, HeinoDirective 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) a significant development has been activated concerning almost all official geo basis data sets. The achievement: interoperable web based availability of all data sets via viewing and download services. Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the Community action in the field of water policy or, in short, the EU Water Framework Directive (or even shorter the WFD) is the basis of a comprehensive water protection in Europa to get polluted waters clean again, and ensure clean waters are kept clean. Directive 2007/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment and management of flood risks establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy requires river basin management plans to be developed for each river basin district in order to achieve good ecological and chemical status, and it will contribute to mitigating the effects of floods. The main target is to build up a harmonised data model for both categories of the water management focused as follows: A centralised administration of all basis data concerning water management Following up of water specific objects based on one data model A concerted administration of measurements Availability of interoperable linked data.
- KonferenzbeitragVorsorgePlan Schadstoffunfallbekämpfung(Informationsgewinnung und Datenaufbereitung für maritime Informationssysteme, 2011) Daginnus, KlausThe German coastal areas of the Baltic and North Seas are part of the most highly-frequented shipping routes worldwide. The high density of shipping traffic requires effective prevention planning, especially to protect the environment from dangers implicit with high density shipping traffic. The pollution of seas and coasts are unavoidable. Therefore the Ministeries for Environment of the Coastal States, in cooperation with the Federal Ministery of Transport, Building, and Housing compiled a plan for the entire German North and Baltic Seas, that assists the onshore response measures implemented in case of a pollutant release. The main function of the VorsorgePlan Schadstoffunfallbekämpfung (VPS) - Contingency Plan for Marine Pollution Control – is derived from collection, storage, and dissemination of such information that are necessary or useful for the prevention of, as well as the response to, pollution incidents. The following types of data are available: Alphanumerical data of the database Geodata in the GIS Texts, charts and graphics in the incident response manual Photo and video data of the whole German coast More Information about the Contingency Planning for Pollution Control (VPS) you will find under: http://www.vps-web.de/
