- KonferenzbeitragContinuous Innovation and Experimentation in Complex Problem Domains(Software Engineering und Software Management 2018, 2018) Klepper, Sebastian; Grimm, Christian; Bruegge, BerndContinuous software engineering enables experimentation and empirical research in complex problem domains. Existing process models describe different approaches for exploration, innovation, and refinement. We propose a new approach based on problem solving techniques and focused on decision support to serve as the starting point for a unified process framework.
- ZeitschriftenartikelEinladung zur Konferenz: Software Engineering 2008, München, 18. bis 22. Februar 2008(Softwaretechnik-Trends Band 27, Heft 4, 2007) Bruegge, Bernd
- KonferenzbeitragThe Eye of Continuous Software Engineering(Software Engineering and Software Management 2019, 2019) Johanssen, Jan Ole; Kleebaum, Anja; Paech, Barbara; Bruegge, BerndWe summarize the paper Practitioners’ Eye on Continuous Software Engineering: An Interview Study [Jo18], which was presented at the 2018 edition of the International Conference on Software and System Processes (ICSSP) in Gothenburg, Sweden.
- KonferenzbeitragFirst European workshop on mobile engineering (ME'13)(Software Engineering 2013, 2013) Maalej, Walid; Pagano, Dennis; Bruegge, BerndME'13 focuses on potentials and challenges of mobile computing for the software engineering community. The workshop discusses emerging ideas, methodologies, frameworks, tools, as well as industrial experiences with the engineering and management of mobile services and applications, and aims at establishing a research community around these topics. Furthermore, the workshop provides an interactive exchange platform between the software engineering community and industrial practitioners in the mobile computing area.
- KonferenzbeitragImpact of Hypothesis-Driven Development on Effectiveness, Quality, and Efficiency in Innovation Projects(Software Engineering und Software Management 2018, 2018) Klepper, Sebastian; Bruegge, BerndWe evaluate the impact of hypothesis-driven development in innovation projects dealing with complex problems, focusing on decision making processes instead of experimentation methods. Our findings show that this type of empirical research used for decision support can enhance effectiveness and quality without negatively impacting efficiency.
- ZeitschriftenartikelModel-based Real-time Synchronization(Softwaretechnik-Trends Band 34, Heft 2, 2014) Krusche, Stephan; Bruegge, BerndIn this paper we describe an approach for model-based realtime synchronization. We present an extension of the EMFStore platform which allows multiple collaborators to connect to each other directly via peer-to-peer and to synchronize changes on model instances with each other in real-time. With this approach we allow users to collaboratively work literally on the same model instance. We argue that this approach avoids serious conflicts and reduces the problem of outdated model instances.
- KonferenzbeitragUser Feedback Practices in Continuous Software Engineering(Software Engineering 2020, 2020) Johanssen, Jan Ole; Kleebaum, Anja; Bruegge, Bernd; Paech, BarbaraWe summarize the paper \"How do Practitioners Capture and Utilize User Feedback during Continuous Software Engineering?\", which was presented at the 2019 edition of the IEEE International Requirements Engineering Conference (RE) in Jeju Island, South Korea.
