Blind people have no access to such graphics which are needed to learn handling the application. However, screen reader users need adapted information to learn effective interaction strategies in GUI environments. We propose a concept to make screenshots accessible for blind screen reader users by mapping ui elements and states to HTML elements. Based on a pilot study with two blind people we find requirements that ended up in a tool that automates the generation of interactive, accessible screenshots.

We focus on the incorporation and assessment of intended wake words, categorizing them based on fillers and first names. Given the language-dependent nature of this approach, our research primarily addresses the English language. We propose an evaluation mechanism to determine the efficacy of potential wake words, predicting their recognition accuracy and length. The study involves a comparative analysis between combinations of fillers and first names, aiming to identify the optimal pairing. We offer recommendations on the best-performing combinations, enhancing the reliability and user experience of ANC headphones as a supportive tool for noise-sensitive individuals. Our findings aim to provide a robust framework for developing highly responsive and personalized wake word systems, tailored to the unique needs of noise-sensitive individuals in office environments.

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Chancen, die sich aus einem informierten Diversity Management für die Fach-richtung Informatik ergeben. Darüber hinaus wird ein mögliches Vorgehen für ein Diversity Monitoring an Hochschulen vorgestellt, welches neben der Sensibilisierung der Beteiligten auch die Verbesserung der Studiensituation zum Ziel hat.

Nevertheless, charts are an important tool to analyse data. Appropriate output media are needed making data analysis more accessible. We propose a workflow and tooling requirements to integrate the generation of accessible charts. Towards getting there, we present our current prototypical state and specify further steps.

On the one hand, they provide several possibilities to reduce barriers for people with specific physical or mental needs, e.g., through simulations, gamification, or training scenarios. Individuals with anxiety disorders, dementia, or autism spectrum disorder, for example, may also benefit. On the other hand, it is challenging to design accessible XR technologies for heterogeneous user groups. Therefore, the area of accessible XR as well as adaptation based on users' needs and contexts, is of high interest and has barely been researched yet. Participants of the workshop are encouraged to discuss both – the major challenges and opportunities in designing XR-based assistive technology for different target groups and scenarios, as well as the accessibility of XR technologies.
