One of the main challenges of (environmental) knowledge management is to relate content and context . The data element catalogue is an adequate method for environmental knowledge discovery and mapping. The today implementation of our knowledge management system, the EcoExplorer System, supports the discovery and mapping of environmental knowledge objects.
