AbstractInternet technologies support the exchange between Communities of Practice through possibilities of visualization in the form of portals. Time- and location-independent actors may build thereby Communities of Practice. Regarding internet portals there is a huge variety of portals. Although similar structures and functionalities are necessary, portals are mostly developed individually. Hence the potential of reuse demand the establishment of a Community of Practice for the development of community portals in the form of an Open-Source-Project.This paper presents results of a project and addresses the theme of the journal – the composition of Communities of Practice – twice: (1) The Open-Source-Project providing functionality for community portals is presented. Our Community of Practice aims to provide necessary functionalities for portals so that communities, without focus on technical themes, are able to build portals. (2) Moreover the application of our functionalities is presented in various Communities. Our new arisen Community of Practice supports those communities which use portals for collaborative work. Furthermore, our Community of Practice compares notes with other Communities of Practice such as the Developer-Community Drupal. Thus a network of several Communities of Practice arises and is also presented here.
- TextdokumentExploring the content composition of online book reviews(INFORMATIK 2020, 2021) Kutzner, Kristin; Schoormann, Thorsten; Knackstedt, RalfToday, anyone can perform an opinion-expressing form of literary criticism by writing online book reviews. Sellers and publishers recognised the strategic potential of such reviews, for example, to increase sales. However, despite the popularity and recognised importance of book reviews, only little is known about the actual content in detail. Drawing on a category system and manually annotated reviews, this study explores the content composition of book reviews. We disclose frequently used content-related book review components and perform a cluster analysis, exploring which components often occur together. Our results support literary scholars in investigating the digital phenomenon of literary criticism and the study illustrates a sample Computational Humanities project which can be transferred to other research endeavours.

Thus, patterns have the potential to leverage the sustainable transformation of organizations by considering societal and environmental concerns in addition to economic obligations. Although various process patterns have been proposed, there is a deficit regarding the social dimension of sustainability, which hinders improving processes in terms of issues such as inclusive working environments, employee health, participation, or fair value chains. By drawing on an initial set of socially business process patterns (SBPPs) that has been developed in previous work, this study seeks to examine sustainability reports from several organizations to evaluate, refine, and extend the current set of SBPPs. We contribute to social sustainability and process patterns by enabling researchers and practitioners to explore processes in respect of social concerns as well as providing orientation (i.e., examples) on how to improve social performance.
