- KonferenzbeitragA benchmarking methodology to identify fair contributions of different regions to the energy transition(Environmental Infomatics - Stability, Continuity, Innovation: Current trends and future perspectives based on 30 years of history, 2016) Wind, Günter; Schriefl, Ernst; Lunzer, Horst; Busswald, Petra; Niederl, Franz
- KonferenzbeitragCO2 Assessment Tool for Communities(Managing Environmental Knowledge, 2006) Bußwald, Petra; Niederl, Franz; Lunzer, Horst; Mehl, WolfgangThe “CO2 Grobbilanz” (communal registers of CO2 emissions) described by this paper is an assessment tool for environmental policy and decision makers in municipalities. The development of the tool was initiated by Klimabündnis Österreich (climate alliance Austria)3 to support member communities in their activities for climate protection. As a first step the tool offers easy CO2 assessment by a large number of integrated statistical data in combination with only few input of the municipality user. Possibilities to adapt the statistical data to the local settings (if known) allow for more precise calculation. Display of all the data shows the influencing factors of a community’s CO2 emissions and thereby fulfils educational purposes. In the future the tool is meant to function as a monitoring and steering tool for CO2 reduction policies.
- KonferenzbeitragFeedback Annotation Service für Multimedia eLectures(DeLFI 2008: Die 6. e-Learning Fachtagung Informatik, 2008) Jakobi, Valentina; Vatterrott, Heide-Rose; Niederl, Franz
- KonferenzbeitragFuturo – A Sustainable Consumption Network2-(Environmental Communication in the Information Society - Proceedings of the 16th Conference, 2002) Bußwald, Petra; Niederl, Franz; Jakubowicz, Dan; Schuh, BerndThe project futuro aims to label goods with their “true” (sustainable) prices. This is meant to be a support for individuals to assess their shopping behaviours in order to find their ways towards a sustainable lifestyle. This paper deals with the description of the process which formulates the futuro on the one hand and the methodological problems of such a “sustainable consumption” measuring rod on the other hand.
- KonferenzbeitragIntegration of inclusiveness into sustainable mobility planning for small municipalities(Environmental Infomatics - Stability, Continuity, Innovation: Current trends and future perspectives based on 30 years of history, 2016) Busswald, Petra; Niederl, Franz; Knoll, Bente; Hoffmann, Roswitha; Dopheide, Ralf
- KonferenzbeitragMonitoring im kommunalen Klimaschutz(Environmental Infomatics - Stability, Continuity, Innovation: Current trends and future perspectives based on 30 years of history, 2016) Niederl, Franz; Busswald, Petra; Schäfer, Stefan; Schwarz, Jan; Schulze, Dag
- KonferenzbeitragRESYS-Tool – considering dependencies among energy technologies in designing regional energy autonomy(Proceedings of the 27th Conference on Environmental Informatics - Informatics for Environmental Protection, Sustainable Development and Risk Management, 2013) Wind, Günter; Schriefl, Ernst; Lunzer, Horst; Niederl, Franz; Busswald, PetraThe RESYS tool is an instrument, which is designed to provide communities with a profound overview and analysis about their energy demand and about their energy potentials based on renewables. On this basis, the creation of an appropriate energy strategy can be made more easily. The tool incorporates a generic approach which can be applied to many municipalities. In order to consider demand and supply over time and interdependencies among different energy technologies and available resources a model was developed, which helps optimizing the usage of technologies. Finally, the tool is designed to help finding a reasonable local energy strategy and understanding the impacts of certain actions.
