- KonferenzbeitragMathematical Model Of Forest Fire Initiation And Spread(Informatics for Environmental Protection - Networking Environmental Information, 2005) Perminov, ValeriyOne of the objectives of these studies is the improvement of knowledge on the fundamental physical mechanisms that control the crown forest fire initiation and spread. Under specific conditions, a surface forest fire spreading through the ground cover is converted into a crown fire that moves through crown at a significantly greater rate than the surface fire, and hence is more dangerous ecologically. The research was made by means of the mathematical modeling methods of physical processes. It was based on numerical solution of two dimensional Reynolds equations for the description of turbulent flow taking into account for diffusion equations chemical components and equations of energy conservation for gaseous and condensed phases. To obtain discrete analogies a method of controlled volume of Patankar - Spalding was used. In this context, a study - mathematical modeling of the conditions of forest fire spreading that would make it possible to obtain a detailed picture of the change in the velocity, temperature and component concentration fields with time, and determine as well as the influence of different conditions on the forest fire spread, is of interest.
- KonferenzbeitragMathematical Modeling of Environmental Pollution in Urban Canyon(Informatics for Environmental Protection - Networking Environmental Information, 2005) Perminov, ValeriyIn connection with the estimate of environmental pollution by the action of motor transport, the prediction of the process influence on ground layer state of the atmosphere is of interest. In the present paper it is planned to develop mathematical model for description of heat and mass transfer processes and predicting velocity, temperature and pollution concentrations near roadway since the automobile is a major contributor to air pollution. Methods of predicting concentrations of automobile exhaust gases near roadways are needed for the planning and design of roads and nearby structures.
