    Digital documentation of cultural heritage is critical due to threats such as conflict and climate change. This paper explores the digital preservation of the Temple of Hercules using 3D modeling. The study highlights the benefits of digitalization for education, research, and tourism. The methodology involves simple equipment to capture the images and the use of free software to create detailed 3D models, demonstrating the accessibility and importance of digital preservation in safeguarding cultural artifacts for future generations.

    A Snapshot in Time and Space: Smart Digitalization of the Umayyad Palace

    Cultural heritage sites around the world are threatened by a wide variety of factors. Over time, these factors can lead to deterioration or sudden destruction. Some of these factors are presented and described in relation to the Umayyad Palace in Amman (Jordan). This site is of great importance due to its central location and historical significance. In order to preserve it, a case study was conducted with the aim of exploring the potential of photogrammetry. Despite the challenge of obtaining sufficient perspectives, the creation of a 3D model is possible using techniques that are widely accessible. Such digital 3D models are versatile and may become increasingly important in the future, particularly in areas such as education, construction, and tourism.
