The concept, onesus, is a tool platform embedded in the project Ecoradar.com. EPE (management of environmental indicators and benchmarking) and the gp-Finder (finding Good-Practice-Examples) are prototypes of tools which will be integrated in this tool platform.
- KonferenzbeitragImplementing an Environmental Management Web-Portal(Environmental Communication in the Information Society - Proceedings of the 16th Conference, 2002) Kreeb, Martin; Schulz, Werner F.; Krcmar, Helmut; Gutterer, Bernd; Burschel, Carlo; Rudel, AnnetteEcoradar (www.ecoradar.org) is the name for an innovative Internet portal that sets out to use the simplest and most persuasive means to motivate sustainable management in those enterprises which have so far taken little or no interest in this aspect. This major project with participation from over 80 German enterprises and institutions is part of the new funding focus ‘Integrated Environmental Protection Instruments for Sustainable Business Management’ set by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The primary task of the portal´s construction consists of the creation of an Environmental Management Community . The purpose of the article is to show the structure and elements of the oekoradar-community. Both the creation of a “culture of trust” among the participating enterprises and the strategy of a successful integration of the joint project partners are of specific interest. The content models are presented and the article is examining the ability of the oekoradar-community to develop, share and use the available knowledge by using the tools of knowledge-management. Finally, the authors describe the technology that is used to create the portal.

- KonferenzbeitragThe Balance Knowledge Management Model – an Approach to Anchor Sustainability in Mass Media by the Web Based Tool B°CON(Managing Environmental Knowledge, 2006) Russ, Markus; Schulz, Werner F.; Kreeb, MartinThe research project “balance – sustainability goes mass media” examines, how the admittingness of the concept of sustainable development can be increased in a huge part of the population by placing it in mass media: how can the average consumer inhibitions against a sustainable lifestyle and management be overcome? As major instrument to the transfer of sustainability topics made of science, economics and society into mass media, a knowledge pool was conceived and implemented in shape of a web-based content database. The database B°CON fulfils the function of content providing and represents a platform, on which experts from the sustainability community and representatives of the mass media can come together on a virtual information market, and exchange their knowledge.
