- TextdokumentApplying the Minimal Cost of Change Approach to inductive Reference Enterprise Architecture Development(Digital Enterprise Computing (DEC 2017), 2017) Timm, Felix; Sauer, ValentinaEnterprise architectures (EA) help organizations to analyze interrelations among their strategy, business processes, responsibilities, application landscape and information structures. Such ambitious endeavors can be supported by using reference models for EAM. Although research thoroughly addresses the development of reference models, the characteristics of EA models are not investigated in this context. Our work therefore applies one approach for inductively constructing reference process models to the EA domain. We thus contribute to the reference modeling research field in general and its application to development of reference enterprise architectures in detail.
- ZeitschriftenartikelCatchword: Blockchains and Enterprise Modeling(Enterprise Modelling and Information Systems Architectures (EMISAJ) – International Journal of Conceptual Modeling: Vol. 15, Nr. 16, 2020) Fill, Hans-Georg; Fettke, Peter; Rinderle-Ma, StefanieIn this catchword article we describe the current technological opportunities that are available through blockchain technologies and outline how the field of enterprise modeling can contribute to these developments as well as benefit itself from them. For this purpose, we discuss the technical foundations of blockchains and derive a framework for relating both sides. Finally, it is reported about recent approaches that already engage in these opportunities.
- WorkshopbeitragLeveraging LLMs in Semantic Mapping for Knowledge Graph-based Automated Enterprise Model Generation(Modellierung 2024 Satellite Events, 2024) Reitemeyer, Benedikt; Fill, Hans-GeorgAutomated enterprise model generation applies artificial intelligence and other machine- processable approaches to improve decision making and adoption in complex and changing en- vironments. The emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs) opens a new playing field for machine-processability in enterprise modeling, especially when it comes to processing natural lan- guage contextual knowledge. In this extended abstract, we show the use of LLMs in semantic mapping tasks for real-world and modeling language concepts based on an ArchiMate and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) example. The results indicate that LLMs are useful in automated enterprise modeling tasks.
