- KonferenzbeitragCapturing the Semantics of Quality Requirements into an Intermediate Predesign Model(SIGSAND-EUROPE 2008: Proceedings of the Third AIS SIGSAND European Symposium on Analysis, Design, Use and Societal Impact of Information Systems, 2008) Shekhovtsov, Vladimir A.; Kop, Christian; Mayr, Heinrich C.We present an approach to capturing the semantics of quality requirements in an intermediate predesign step residing between quality requirements elicitation and conceptual design. We propose Quality-Aware Predesign Model (QAPM) to be used at this step. In this model, the problem domain is viewed as a set of concerns. Out of this set, concerns related to quality are separated from those related to the main functionality of the system. Quality concerns are represented by hierarchical quality models incorporating quality characteristics and indicators. The semantics of both functional and quality concerns is modeled using Klagenfurt Conceptual Predesign Model (KCPM) concepts with necessary modifications. On basis of this, QAPM offers the set of concepts to represent the semantics of cross- cutting relationships between the concerns.
- KonferenzbeitragTool supported aspectual predesign(Information Systems Technology and its Applications, 5th International Conference ISTA 2006, 2006) Shekhovtsov, Vladimir A.; Kostanyan, Arkadiy V.; Gritskov, Eugene; Litvinenko, YuryAspectual predesign is an approach to user-verified mapping of the nonfunctional requirements to the system into the aspect-oriented design model. It is an extension of the Klagenfurt Conceptual Predesign. In this paper, we present the architecture of modular software tool aiming to support the aspectual predesign workflow. The XML-based Predesign Exchange Format (PEF) for conversionindependent representation of aspectual predesign model (APM) is introduced.
- KonferenzbeitragTowards Entropy-Based Requirements Elicitation(Information systems technology and its applications – 6th international conference – ISTA 2007, 2007) Kostanyan, Arkadiy V.; Shekhovtsov, Vladimir A.This paper presents our views towards constructing the universal parsing technique for the software requirements texts and the requirements elicitation technique based on the output of this parsing process. With the proposed parsing technique, it should be possible to achieve language-independent processing of the requirements texts. Source sentences are treated as systems with words as elements and with a state determining the set of links between elements. The main goal of the parser is to find the state of the system with the highest organization level by minimizing its entropy. The requirements elicitation technique extends trained indicator approach by Cleland-Huang treating inter-word links as indicators. The output of the elicitation process is the set of requirements information ready to be processed further using Conceptual and Aspectual Predesign techniques.
