- ZeitschriftenartikelAugmented Reality for Future Mobility: Insights from a Literature Review and HCI Workshop(i-com: Vol. 20, No. 3, 2021) Riegler, Andreas; Riener, Andreas; Holzmann, ClemensThere is a growing body of research in the field of interaction between drivers/passengers and automated vehicles using augmented reality (AR) technology. Furthering the advancements and availability of AR, the number of use cases in and around vehicles rises. Our literature review reveals that in the past, AR research focussed on increasing road safety and displaying navigational aids, however, more recent research explores the support of immersive (non-)driving related activities, and finally enhance driving and passenger experiences, as well as assist other road users through external human-machine interfaces (HMIs). AR may also be the enabling technology to increase trust and acceptance in automated vehicles through explainable artificial intelligence (AI), and therefore help on the shift from manual to automated driving. We organized a workshop addressing AR in automotive human-computer interaction (HCI) design, and identified a number of challenges including human factors issues that need to be tackled, as well as opportunities and practical usages of AR in future mobility. We believe that our status-quo literature analysis and future-oriented workshop results can serve as a research agenda for user interface designers and researchers when developing automotive AR interfaces.

During this process, governments are under constant pressure to deliver better public services with fewer resources which necessitate the use of confidential evaluation methods for IT investments in e-government in order to guide policy and decision makers and to raise public approval. Despite a various number of evaluation methods, there is still lack of an appropriate method, which takes all perspectives and dimensions into account. The aim of this paper is to investigate the existing state of art dealing with the principle approaches of evaluation of e-government investments by following a comprehensive review of the normative literature and contributing to these works by suggesting guidelines for developing an appropriate model.

DOI: 10.1145/3084100.3084109 Automotive development processes are significantly influenced by digital transformation and need to be adapted. Agile methods are a promising approach but they are not tailored to the specific characteristics of the automotive domain like product line development. Although, there have been efforts to apply agile methods in the automotive domain, widespread adoptions have not yet taken place. This literature review gives an overview of agile methods for embedded software development in the automotive domain, especially with respect to software product lines (SPLs). A mapping study was conducted to analyze the relation between agile software development (ASD), automotive embedded software development and SPLs. Three research questions were defined and 68 papers were evaluated. The study shows that ASD and SPL approaches tailored for the automotive domain are not yet fully explored in the literature. Only few approaches for combining ASD and SPLs in the automotive domain were found, these findings were valuable for identifying research gaps and provide insights into how existing approaches can be combined, extended and tailored to suit the characteristics of the automotive domain.
