- ZeitschriftenartikelGüterlogistische Dispositionssysteme in Verbindung mit B2B-Marktplätzen — Konzept und praktisches Beispiel(Wirtschaftsinformatik: Vol. 44, No. 6, 2002) Lejmi, Habib; Butterwegge, GeraldThe integration of logistic services into electronic marketplaces for goods leads to significant advantages for all parties concerned. This paper illustrates a supplementary component for B2B marketplaces that intends to optimise the delivery processes. This component bundles the orders of neighboured purchasers and achieves considerable savings. Moreover, its use on a marketplace in the furniture industry demonstrates how small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can benefit from intensifying their cooperation via an electronic marketplace.
- ZeitschriftenartikelMapping the sea of opportunities: Blockchain in supply chain and logistics(it - Information Technology: Vol. 60, No. 5-6, 2018) Petersen, Moritz; Hackius, Niels; See, Birgit vonDriven by successful pilot projects in supply chain and logistics, Blockchain has become one of the industry’s latest technology hypes. In this paper, we cut through the hype and shed light on the expectations of industry professionals towards the benefits and challenges of Blockchain. Also, we categorize current Blockchain applications that are expected to provide tangible benefits for supply chain and logistics processes. To explore such potentials, we argue that companies should gain own first-hand experiences through small-scale experiments.
- KonferenzbeitragSensor-based modelling of carbon dioxide emissions for trailer traffic(INFORMATIK 2023 - Designing Futures: Zukünfte gestalten, 2023) Leskow, Justus; Greiser, Steffen; Korn, Goy-HinrichIn this research work, the calculation of carbon dioxide emissions for trailer traffic based on sensor data is described. The data consist of trailer type, load, trip and route parameters. While the individual trailer parameters can be derived from the order management, the trip and route parameters are collected by frequently data. With this, the transport carbon footprint is calculated based on DIN EN 16258 by means of the ProBas database. The distributions of carbon dioxide emissions in trailer traffic are analysed and discussed. The results of the case study indicate that sensor-based modelling can be a useful tool for an improved transparency and estimation of carbon dioxide emissions.
- KonferenzbeitragVisualization of turnover rate in a warehouse using augmented reality: a demo with the Microsoft Hololens(Mensch und Computer 2020 - Tagungsband, 2020) Bräuer, Paula; Mazarakis, AthanasiosIn this submission, a new concept for the application of augmented reality in warehouse management is presented. The new tool offers the possibility to visualize the turnover rate of products in a warehouse and to optimize the location of products according to this key performance indicator. A prototype of the application was developed for the Microsoft HoloLens and subsequently implemented in a warehouse. The HoloLens is connected live to an ERP system, which is designed as a cloud application.
