- KonferenzbeitragAnnotator-Centered Design: Towards a Tool for Sentiment and Emotion Annotation(INFORMATIK 2019: 50 Jahre Gesellschaft für Informatik – Informatik für Gesellschaft (Workshop-Beiträge), 2019) Schmidt, Thomas; Jakob, Marco; Wolff, ChristianWe present a first prototype of the tool SentiAnno, which is an annotation tool specifically designed for sentiment and emotion annotation in structured written texts. To design this tool, we employ the user-centered design (UCD) framework and adapt it by focusing on the annotator, thus phrasing our development approach annotator-centered design. In iterative steps, we gather requirements and feedback from annotators as soon as possible in the development process via various usability engineering methods. We propose that this design process is especially beneficial for challenging and subjective annotation tasks like sentiment and emotion annotation of literary texts. We describe our first iterations and present results of the current prototype. We show how we were able to create functionalities facilitating the annotation process by applying this annotator-centered design approach.

Ihre gezielte strategische Ausrichtung wird mit steigender Komplexität der Angebote und Anforderungen anspruchsvoller und erfordert eine methodische Unterstützung. Die GI-Arbeitsgruppe Strategisches Informationsmanagement entwickelt das StratIT-Rahmenwerk als Basis für die Entwicklung, Beurteilung und Überarbeitung von IT-Strategien. Der Fokus liegt auf den Inhalten einer IT-Strategie und nicht auf dem Entwicklungsprozess. Als Forschungsmethode wird die Design Research Method angewandt und um Methoden der Aktionsforschung ergänzt, sodass das Rahmenwerk kontinuierlich überprüft, ergänzt, korrigiert und verbessert werden kann. Ziel dabei ist die Weiterentwicklung eines Rahmenwerks, das das IT-Management bei der Entwicklung und kontinuierlichen Verbesserung seiner IT-Strategien unterstützt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird das StratIT-Rahmenwerk vorgestellt. Dessen Anwendbarkeit ist im Rahmen eines Experteninterviews sowie eines Laborexperiments überprüft worden. Die Vorgehensweisen und Ergebnisse werden im Überblick vorgestellt.
- KonferenzbeitragThe application of Articial Intelligence for Cyber Security in Industry 4.0(INFORMATIK 2019: 50 Jahre Gesellschaft für Informatik – Informatik für Gesellschaft (Workshop-Beiträge), 2019) Ben Zid, Ines; Parekh, Mithil; Waedt, Karl; Lou, XinxinThe use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in different domains is continuously growing. In particular for cybersecurity, we can see the implementations of AI solutions, e.g. machine learning, in a wide range of applications from various domains. While some consider this step as risk for cybersecurity, others agree that it is in fact a solution to many issues as well. This leads to a higher necessity of having a right understanding as well as handling of cybersecurity controls that enforce meeting domain, project and application specific security targets. This implies that more efforts and resources have to be focused and invested towards cybersecurity. One reason for this is that attackers (threat agents) may integrate AI based algorithms and AI based evaluation of data, which forces the security staff to respond at a similar level. Thus, we are considering AI as a potential solution for satisfying a set of rising needs and objectives. In this paper, we present the concept for merging and integration of these three major domains and applications. Also, we detail the relevant motivations, requirements and challenges to be considered when coming to such combination.

To provide guidance for optimizing architectural content management, we first define and motivate architectural content management. Then we describe requirements and solutions for managing architectural content, including suitable tool chains and ways of structuring content. The content of this article was created in a current, real-life use case inside a large aviation corporation. However, management of architectural content is for the largest part industry-independent, thus, the concepts can also serve as a reference for large enterprises in other industries.
- KonferenzbeitragAutomated Learning of Pedestrian Walking Speed Profiles for Improved Movement Prediction(INFORMATIK 2019: 50 Jahre Gesellschaft für Informatik – Informatik für Gesellschaft (Workshop-Beiträge), 2019) Morold, Michel; Bachmann, Marek; Mathuseck, Lars; David, KlausEvery year, about 310,500 pedestrians still lose their lives in traffic accidents worldwide. Cooperative pedestrian collision avoidance represents a promising approach to reduce those accident numbers. This approach assumes that pedestrians are equipped with mobile devices to obtain and exchange their current movement information with nearby vehicles and use those to predict and prevent possible collisions. However, the ability to predict collisions between a pedestrian and a vehicle also depends on the assumptions about the pedestrian’s future behavior. One important aspect of those assumptions is a pedestrian’s individual walking pattern, like his common or maximum speed. Thus, learning and applying individual walking speed profiles of pedestrians to improve movement prediction may increase the accuracy of a collision detection algorithm and could, in turn, reduce the probability of missing or erroneously triggering an alarm. In this publication, we propose an approach to learn individual walking speed profiles of a pedestrian based on smartphone Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) data and evaluate the ability to predict collisions based on those profiles. Therefore, we first conducted experiments to estimate the error of walking speed obtained from smartphone GNSS. Second, using our Pedestrian Monitor application, we recorded real-world walking speed information from nine participants. Based on these data, we show that individually learned walking speed profiles are able to increase the accuracy of predicting an impending collision.
- KonferenzbeitragAveraging rewards as a first approach towards Interpolated Experience Replay(INFORMATIK 2019: 50 Jahre Gesellschaft für Informatik – Informatik für Gesellschaft (Workshop-Beiträge), 2019) Pilar von Pilchau, WenzelReinforcement learning and especially deep reinforcement learning are research areas which are getting more and more attention. The mathematical method of interpolation is used to get information of data points in an area where only neighboring samples are known and thus seems like a good expansion for the experience replay which is a major component of a variety of deep reinforcement learning methods. Interpolated experiences stored in the experience replay could speed up learning in the early phase and reduce the overall amount of exploration needed. A first approach of averaging rewards in a setting with unstable transition function and very low exploration is implemented and shows promising results that encourage further investigation.

So erfordert die Zeitschriftenkrise eine Neubewertung vertrauter Institutionen und Prozesse. Können und sollen elektronische Publikationsformen durch dezentrale Strukturen zugleich die klassischen, reputationsstiftenden Intermediäre verdrängen, oder werden diese durch Anpassung ihrer Geschäftsmodelle wieder zu unverzichtbaren Partnern der Wissen-schaft? Diese Thematik berührt alle Forschenden auf die eine oder andere Weise. Dennoch herrscht viel-fach Unklarheit über die Veränderungen, welche die Digitale Transformation auf diesem Gebiet mit sich bringen wird. In die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen dezentralen, Blockchain-gestützten Publizierens führen drei Vorträge ein, die den Bogen von grundsätzlichen Überlegungen zu kon-kreten Anwendungsbeispielen spannen. In der anschließenden Podiumsdiskussion legen hochran-gige Vertreterinnen und Vertreter unterschiedlichster Stakeholders des Publikationswesens ihre Beurteilung der aktuellen Situation dar und erörtern Chancen sowie Risiken alternativer Wege aus der Krise.

However, especially when it comes to increasing safety of Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs), more work is needed to decrease accidents and mitigate their consequences. The design and development of these systems is a very complex task, as they face many challenges. This paper aims to provide an overview on tasks faced in wireless communication-based road safety systems.

Corpus2Wiki is a tool for generating so-calledWikiditions out of text corpora. It provides text analyses, annotations and their visualizations without requiring programming or advanced computer skills. By using TextImager as a back-end, Corpus2Wiki can automatically analyze input documents at different linguistic levels. Currently, it automatically annotates information regarding lemmatization, parts of speech, morphological information, named entities, geolocations and topic labels based on the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Any results are stored and displayed by means of a modified and extended MediaWiki which makes it easy to further process texts and their annotations. The aim of this paper is to present the capabilities of Corpus2wiki, to point out the improvements made and to make suggestions for further development.
