Augmented Documentation (AD) bedeutet im Kontext dieses Beitrags die Anwendung von Augmented Reality (AR) im Bereich der Technischen Dokumentation (TD). TD ist ein spezieller Bereich der Informationsaufbereitung und -begleitung im Business-to-Business Produktmanagement. Die aktuellen Herausforderungen im Rahmen der Digitalisierung und ein zunehmender Innovationsdruck der TD, neue Geschäftsmodelle zu entwickeln und zu erweitern, fördern die Auseinandersetzung mit zeitgemäßen Technologien wie AR. In diesem Beitrag wird die spezielle Anwendung der AR-Technologie auf den Bereich der TD erläutert und diskutiert. Weiterhin wird ein dezidiertes Innovationsprojekt bezüglich der Implementierung von AD vorgestellt, das anhand von Action Design Research durchgeführt und in dem die darauf aufbauenden Erkenntnisse implementiert wurden. Das AD-Innovationsprojekt ist ein exemplarisches Vorgehen, das wertvolle Erkenntnisse für Wissenschaft und Praxis liefert, die am Ende dieses Beitrags erläutert werden.AbstractAugmented Documentation (AD) means the application of Augmented Reality (AR) in the field of technical documentation (TD). TD is a special area of information processing and support for business-to-business product management. The current challenges in the context of digitization and the increasing pressure to innovate the TD to develop and expand new business models promote the exploration of state-of-the-art technologies such as AR. In this article, the specific application of AR technology to the field of TD is explained and discussed. Furthermore, a dedicated innovation project concerning the implementation of AD is presented, which has been implemented using Action Design Research and in which the findings based on this have been implemented. The AD innovation project is an exemplary approach that provides valuable insights for science and practice, which are explained at the end of this paper.
