Zusammenfassung
The analysis of environmental information systems (EIS) and meta environmental information systems (metaEIS) in the German municipal administration has shown that focusing on data and systems does not meet the recent challenges. The future task of public administration will require more userand service-oriented concepts. In this paper first results of a study to develop an approach for environmental information management (EIM) in Berlin are presented.
