Zusammenfassung
Assessment of emissions of air pollutants consists of very simple calculations. However, difficulties arise by combining very different sources of input data in a sophisticated structure and to keep these data well organized. We show in this paper an approach to support air quality experts in preparing these input data, to evaluate combinations of abatement options by managing data groups and scenarios, and to provide a quality maintenance tool to the expert group which allows to evaluate and to document all data and algorithms also for a long term observation. The framework of this development was an application service providing (ASP) concept, as several users (e.g., from different Austrian provinces) should be able to share calculation algorithms as well as maintenance of server and database platform.
