Der Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie verschiedene Ansätze zum Erfolg von unternehmensinternen Innovationen beitragen können. Wir zeigen anhand eines Fallbeispiels, wie wir den Google Design Sprint und das Design Science Research Pattern für die Entwicklung eines Intranet-Portals eingesetzt haben. Die entwickelte Software listet Tools und deren Einsatzgebiete im Unternehmen sowie Ansprechpartner nutzerfreundlich auf. Während der Google Design Sprint dabei half, in kürzester Zeit den richtigen Lösungsansatz für ein unklares Problem zu finden, erlaubte das Design Science Research Pattern in unserem Fall eine tiefe Untersuchung eines Lösungsraums. Dabei kamen diese Ansätze für die initiale Produktentwicklung sowie die Weiterentwicklung zum Einsatz. Auf dem Weg vom ersten lauffähigen Prototyp hin zur produktiv nutzbaren Unternehmensanwendung wendeten wir weitere Praktiken an, um die Softwarelösung nachhaltig zu etablieren. Aus diesen Erfahrungen leiten wir Tipps für unternehmensinterne Innovationen ab. This article deals with the question of how innovation methods can contribute to the success of in-house innovations. We use a case study to show how we used the Google Design Sprint methodology and the design science research (DSR) pattern according to Sonnenberg and vom Brocke to develop in-house software. While the Design Sprint helped in finding the right solution approach for an unclear problem in the shortest possible time, in our case the DSR pattern allowed a deep investigation of a solution space. In the case study, we describe the development of an intranet portal that lists tools and their areas of application in the company, as well as contact persons, in a user-friendly way. The innovation methods were used for the initial product development as well as for its further development. Along the way from the first executable prototype to a productive enterprise application, we applied further practices to establish the software solution for the long term. From these experiences, we derived tips for internal company innovations.
