Zusammenfassung
Systems aiming to increase road safety benefit greatly from recent advances in technology. However, especially when it comes to increasing safety of Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs), more work is needed to decrease accidents and mitigate their consequences. The design and development of these systems is a very complex task, as they face many challenges. This paper aims to provide an overview on tasks faced in wireless communication-based road safety systems.
