dc.description.abstract | On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Protection and Reactor Safety the Environmental Department of the City of Hagen develops an InterNet platform with practical information offers and interactive e-learning components concerning regional and local environmental protection („Virtual Environmental Office“). Main purpose of the pilot scheme is the support and encouragement of local environmental authorities in Central and Eastern European countries which take part in the ongoing EUenlargement process. Aspects of local water management form a main topic in the first phase of the project further topics will follow. As an e-learning offer the „Virtual Environmental Office“ should among others be used in the future within the framework of training courses and continuing education events. | de |
