dc.description.abstract | For small drainage basins flood forecasting is particularly difficult and uncertain. By incorporating additional information that are captured and collected by volunteers with help of their smartphones (Volunteered Geographic Information, VGI), flood forecast-ing systems can be improved and forecast uncertainties can be minimized. This paper presents and discusses different concepts and methods for measuring relevant hydro-logical parameters with mobile smartphone sensors.
