In this position paper, we reflect on the end-user and stakeholder participation in the European eHealth project RE-SAMPLE. We outline the different roles of stakeholders that were involved in different activities during requirements elicitation and iterative development of the eHealth technology. Various methods and outreach activities were performed to reach a large number of end-users and stakeholders and lower barriers for participation. We reflect on these activities and the lessons learned in terms of the level of participation that took place, which level we could not reach yet (i.e., joint decision making) and how this could be improved.de
