To be effective and recognised by consumers Integrated Product Policy, IPP, the new policy approach of the European Union on sustainable goods and services, should be applied to a very large number of products. The acceptance of IPP by Small and Medium sized Enterprises, SMEs, is therefore a crucial issue for the entire policy. The eLCA Project has the general objective to realise “Databases and Web site for the adoption of Integrated Product Policy by SMEs”. eLCA preparatory action has demonstrated Public Sector Information relevance, Information and Communication Technologies and Web site potential for IPP in SMEs, by tackling their specific barriers and promoting a gradual development of a green services market.de
