| dc.description.abstract | With PortalU®, the environmental administration in Germany has created a technical tool in support of the implementation of the European Environmental Information Directive (EEID). PortalU® specifically addresses Article 7.1 of the directive which calls for an “active and systematic” dissemination of environmental information by “means of computer telecommunication and/or electronic technology”. PortalU® provides a central access point to web-sites, databases and online-registries of environmental information held by public authorities in Germany. | de |
