The ETIC program was created for Research and Knowledge Enhancement of Insular Tropical Environments using Information and Communication Technologies. It is based on a collaborative methodology, stressing partnerships with university researchers who wish to share their skills in systemics, computer science, geomatics and communications, or other domains of knowledge management, with editorial boards, scientists, educators, decisionmakers, enterprises and end-users. The goal is to participate in the construction of an Information System for environmental management, and in particular, of insular tropical environments in the SouthWest Indian Ocean.de
