Zusammenfassung
During the engineering and production process, numerous data and models are generated. As Digital Twin they form a virtual representation of the physical objects with their different views and characteristics. The contents spread over various disciplines, stakeholders and life cycle phases; they form a huge space of linked data and resources.
Visualizing this information space is challenging, especially as it is closely related to the physical process and the manufacturing environment. Interaction technologies such as Mixed Reality (MR) offer an alternative to the traditional screen-based systems, that are still common in automation technology. The presented demo shows a spatial interface for the MR glasses HoloLens to explore various data resources in the context of a manufacturing cell. The user can view and interact with the content (such as media, documents, live data, functionalities) as a spatial graph. He can see the real and the digital resources at the same time, interact with those objects and control the machine as well.
