Two previously independent approaches to investigating intuitive interaction in Australia and Germany are described and compared. Both definitions are based on the literature and so agree very closely, involving the non-conscious use of prior knowl-edge for intuitive interaction. Models have been devised by both groups: a continuum of intuitive interaction and a continuum of prior knowledge. Although there are points of difference in the models it is found that these are minimal and that the models are complementary. Tools like design methodologies, design principles, questionnaires, and an online database have been devised by the two groups that can contribute to helping designers in making user interfaces more intuitive to use.de_DE
