dc.description.abstract | In this communication an embedded implementation of the Viola-Jones face detection algorithm targeting low frequency, low memory, and low power consumption, is presented. The design methodology, performance analysis and algorithm optimization in order to accelerate the face detection process, will be described. The resulted implementation is platform independent and achieves on average a 3 times detection speed up. | en |
