dc.description.abstract | The Biosphere 2 project has evolved through changes in institutional management. Problems in monitoring and managing the synthetic biomes are described. The lessons are relevant for sustainable inhabitation of complex living systems. The way students learn about Biosphere 2 is presented, followed by examples of how the lessons have been incorporated into other courses offered by Columbia University. | de |
