Search technology can be applied to many applications and is in the heart of always growing information society. A promising new development is the use of ontologies to enable semantic modeling of data and user queries. Generation and maintenance of ontologies are a costly thing though. We propose a framework to build and maintain ontologies in a semi-automatic way. The article motivates the development from application point of view, relates to work known from the literature and introduces the so-called ontology workbench.en
