dc.description.abstract | This paper describes the concepts and the technological background of the mobile app “My Environment” („Meine Umwelt”). The main idea of this app is to merge various environment-related scenarios into a single app for mobile use. This idea dates back to the European initiative "SEIS" (Shared Environmental Information System) allowing the public to see environmental-related information within their area (“What’s in my backyard?”). To achieve this, the app “My Environment” includes three main scenarios. These are the publication of environmental information ("Inform") for interested laymen, collecting new or updating existing environmental information ("Report"), as well as providing localized information to enable people to go outside and experience nature ("Experience"). | de |
