dc.description.abstract | EUROSION is a project commissioned by the General Directorate Environment of the European Commission, which will result in policy recommendations on how to manage coastal erosion in Europe in the most sustainable way. In this paper we focus on the EUROSION Information System and new technological aspect in metadata based information systems. We leverage XML and adjacent technologies as well as International Standard ISO 19115 to point different issues, such as ease of development and maintenance, ergonomics and interoperability. | de |
