dc.description.abstract | The scope of the paper is to present approaches to remove data defects from material flow networks. In the software tool Umberto® material flow networks are used to model material flows as part of preparation of eco-balances. Reliable statements about environmental impacts of a product are only possible, if all material and energy flows on the whole life cycle of the considered product are included. On that score data defects in material flow networks will be defined and some solution attempts to remove the defects will be discussed. Finally a short outlook will outline some other approaches, which should be investigated in future work. | de |
