According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Disability is part of being human. Almost everyone will temporarily or permanently experience disability at some point in their life”. In this work, we provide insights into focus groups on the accessibility challenges in everyday social life.We outline existing accessibility challenges and possible Mixed Reality (MR)-assistive designs that function as powerful assistive technologies and empower people with visual, cognitive, physical, and/or hearing impairments. We hope our contribution inspires the HCI and MR community to design and deploy novel assistive MR prototypes to better support social interactions without barriers and aim to forge forward the advent of a Supportive Pervasive Everyday Augmented Reality.
