However, there have not been yet any concrete attempts to harness VPLs in the domain of Document Image Analysis (DIA), an applied-research field that tends to mainly cater to the needs of non-programmers. In this context, we introduce AMAP, a VPL-based system to empower non-programming users of DIA methods. We expound the motivation behind the system and briefly outline its design and development along with the architecture.
