These systems are using similar information and communication technologies. Each of them covers different waste management area – national transport of hazardous waste, international transport and national system of waste production and treatment. There are proposed main objectives of the waste management standardization process to establish an information system on waste generation and treatment (waste collection, transport, recovery and disposal), planning and reporting in compliance with the European Union legislation and standards of European Environmental Agency.
