A central aspect of this transformation is the introduction of intelligent electricity meters, known as smart meters, which provide citizens with direct access to data on their personal household energy consumption. However, how users can be supported in understanding this data remains an under-researched topic in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). For this reason, we have initiated a user-centered design process to explore how personal energy data can best be processed and visualized for their benefit. In this paper, we present our approach and initial results for a web application called N-Ergy-View, which is an energy monitoring and analysis tool utilizing AI/ML algorithms for forecasting. Specifically, we conducted interviews with potential users (n=5) and performed qualitative analysis to derive user requirements. We have translated these requirements into an initial system architecture for N-Ergy-View which we are currently implementing.enhttp://purl.org/eprint/accessRights/RestrictedAccessTowards a Conscious Use of Energy: Designing a Web Application for Leveraging Insights from Energy-Data AnalyticsText/Workshop Paper10.18420/muc2024-mci-ws08-176
