In cooperation with the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, the University of Augsburg, and various experts from other institutions, KIT created a web-based system that provides architects and building owners with information about environmentally relevant properties of building materials. System development focused on an editor component for the participating experts to supply the contents of the system and maintain them in the long term as well as on aids to embed WECOBIS in an integrated system of harmonized planning and evaluation tools for the building industry. In January 2009, a first production version was completed and presented to the public by the then Minister of Building, Tiefensee, at the BAU 2009 fair.Text/Conference Paper
