Online interviews were carried out among different protected area administrators in order to understand and identify important issues related with the tourism management. Alternatively, the needs and wishes of the visitors were assessed through surveys and participant observation. A system called WebPark has been designed based on these user needs and tested in the Swiss National Park and in the Wadden Sea. The main result was that the WebPark application is able to satisfy user needs and to provide park managers with a tangible benefit.Effects of Mobile Information Sharing in Natural ParksText/Conference Paper
