The proposed study was conducted in three phases. Firstly, main stakeholders and decision makers in the GuaraqueƧaba situation were identified in order to assess their information needs. Secondly, a Geographical Information System (SIG) was used to integrate and analyse the most relevant ecological and social factors interacting in the region. Thirdly, a modular Environmental Decision Support System (EDSS) was proposed to improve dialogue between main stakeholders and to serve as a support tool for decision makers. The main interconnected modules for the proposed EDSS are Data Entry Module, Analysis Module, Validation & Scenarios Module and Results Module.Interdisciplinary Support Tool for Decision Makers in the Atlantic Forest of Southern BrazilText/Conference Paper
