However, it seems as if none of the existing applications fully exploits their inherent potential. As a contribution to this (marketing) problem, this paper presents a Qt-based, wireless information exchange platform (QWIXP) that can be used as an integrated conference information system, for which wireless PDAs are very natural and cost-effective access tools. In addition to a brief overview of the application's architecture and functionality, this paper describes also the realized communication platform as well as parts of the graphical user interface. The communication platform allows for the usage of both wireless LAN and Bluetooth devices.
