The environment will support the user in finding documents via the portal, but also in managing and working with these documents once they have been retrieved. The user model is a central, explicit aspect of the user’s interaction with the portal, with immediate access by the system as well as the user. This is made possible by the common semantic concepts avail- able to both parties. The described environment is currently in its early implementation phase.
